Your Support Matters!
On the occasion of the chapter's 50th anniversary, we endeavor to further our legacy by providing an annual scholarship fund that would serve the student body in perpetuity. This scholarship fund is part of the overall Mississippi State University endowment program. Funds like ours aid the university to attract the best and brightest undergraduate and graduate students in every academic field throughout the great state of Mississippi and the nation.
Our initial
fundraising campaign aims to raise $50,000 to fund the Eta Upsilon Chapter of
Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Endowed Scholarship Fund, which will empower
the next generation of leaders through education and community service. This
fund will provide financial assistance to deserving students, enabling them to
pursue higher education while also actively serving as leaders in their
communities during their time at Mississippi State University. The scholarship
is primarily intended for undergraduate members of the chapter but other
students are also eligible. Complete requirements are outlined in the
eligibility criteria in the Mississippi State University's scholarship package.
Our Purpose
The Eta Upsilon of
Mississippi State University Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. was
established January 22, 1974. It was the first predominantly Black Greek letter
organization established on the campus of a predominantly white institution in
the state of Mississippi. Since 1974, along with exemplifying the fraternity's
motto of "honorable achievement in every field of human endeavor",
the chapter has aimed to attain the fraternity's objectives but also serve the
Mississippi State and surrounding communities. Members of our chapter have
demonstrated the fraternity's lofty ideals over the past 50 years during their
time at MSU and after their student days were done through career pursuits.
