What is New Maroon Camp?

Mississippi State University’s New Maroon Camp is a four-night, three-day student-led retreat that assists incoming freshmen and transfer students with their transition to Mississippi State University. During their time at New Maroon Camp (NMC), students learn what it truly means to be a Mississippi State Bulldog. It is an opportunity to experience and learn about MSU’s history and traditions such as the Chapel of Memories, Maroon Friday and the Cowbell. Participating students meet other students, gain insight into what the first year of college is like, and learn valuable lessons that can be applied to the rest of their life.

Our goal to ensure that every incoming student has the opportunity to attend New Maroon Camp. In order to achieve this goal, we offer scholarships to students in need of financial aid and are reaching out to you to raise funds for these scholarships. We would greatly appreciate any contribution you could make to this scholarship fund.

Why Your Support Matters!

Your support is greatly appreciated because NMC is entirely student-led, which means current MSU students will be working one-on-one with these incoming students in order to build strong, long-lasting relationships. By implementing mentorship from our counselors, NMC equips students not only with the tools needed to be successful during their time at Mississippi State University, but also to excel in whatever they choose to do once they graduate.
